Well done to Jessica Batchelor in Year 12 on being awarded a scholarship from the Arkwright Trust to study STEM subjects in the sixth form to help with a potential career in Engineering. Here she is receiving her award at school, instead of being able to attend the usual Arkwright Awards Ceremony.

Although she was short listed to the interview stage, these were unable to take place so instead Jessica was asked to write a personal statement. “I have not completely decided what I will use the money for yet, but it will be towards something to help aim towards a possible career in engineering, such as technical courses.”
