Student Finance

It is important that prospective students understand the financial support available to them.  The Department for Education has information on student finance on:

  1. Eligibility
  2. New full-time students
  3. Continuing full-time students
  4. Part-time students
  5. Extra financial help

You may be able to get extra financial help, for example, if you’re:

  • on a low income, are disabled or have children, such as a grant or allowance
  • studying a certain course, like nursing or social work

You may also be able to apply for extra money from your university or college, such as a bursary, scholarship or hardship fund.

You do not usually need to pay back this extra financial help.
