Rugby High School is an 11-18 girls’ grammar school, which accepts boys into our popular Sixth Form. We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an inspirational and talented Language specialist to join our incredibly popular department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to deliver Languages across the key stages. The ability to deliver Spanish to KS5 is essential; it would be advantageous (but not essential) if you can also teach French to KS3 or KS4.
We welcome applications from teachers at all stages in their career including ECTs. Regardless of experience we offer excellent training opportunities, extensive professional development opportunities and a rich menu of extra-curricular activities.
Spanish and French are popular choices at RHS and delivered at both GCSE and A-level. The department is one of incredibly high standards and some of the best A-Level results in the school. We pride ourselves on delivering challenging and engaging lessons where students thrive. Our students are keen and enthusiastic learners, they have enquiring minds and want to excel. We are looking to appoint someone who is passionate about their subject, who has high expectations and who can deliver excellence in the classroom.

Cover Supervisor
£14.18 per hour
Responsible to: Cover Manager/Business Manager
Start date: 1st September 2025 (or as soon as possible after)

- Supervising a whole class to undertake set work/activities and can include introducing and closing the class.
- Maintaining good order and managing behaviour constructively.
- Promotion of self-control and independence.
- Keep pupils on task as necessary.
- Responding appropriately to questions raised by pupils.
- Collecting any completed work and returning it to the appropriate teacher.
- Dealing with immediate problems and emergencies in accordance with the school’s policies.
- Reporting back on behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.
- Supporting the general administration and/or Front of House teams when not actively covering pupils’ lessons.
Qualifications, training and likely abilities
- No formal qualifications required, though literacy and numeracy skills required to be able to read instructions and work out simple measurements.
- We are looking to appoint somebody who has ideally worked in a Secondary school.
- Can understand and operate within regulations
- Can exchange straightforward information with colleagues and users
- Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
- Value and respect the views and needs of children

Cleaner
£12.65 per hour. NJC Scale 2.
Zero hours casual contract.
TTO plus 5 week (39 weeks).
Responsible to: Site Manager
To clean specified areas within the school in accordance with the school’s/authority’s standards. Your work will be undertaken under the guidance of the caretaker / cleaning supervisor. You will also contribute to the school’s statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
