'The Time is Now' is a poem written by Mrs Dermott-Bond (Head of English) to show what we hope students will get out of their school journey at Rugby High, and the approach we would encourage them to take. It was written to launch our new rewards and house system, which is very much focused on rewarding students for their attitude, as well as their attainment. In addition, the new system looks at recognising those students who give back to the school and the community, and this poem highlights the importance of making use of every opportunity to develop the skill set needed to succeed in the wider world.
