The Class of 2017: Where did they go?

The vast majority of the Class of 2017 choose to apply to university. 111 students chose to accept a university place. 8% decided to defer their entry for a year in order either to work or to travel. Gap year projects this year include working with deprived children in South Africa and Kosovo.

We encourage students to choose the course and the university that is right for them. This approach is reflected in the fifty different universities which students chose to attend. The seven most popular universities were:

Rugby High School students are attending universities in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. 56.7% of students accepted a place at a Russell Group university.

Students were accepted onto 74 different courses. Whilst courses like acoustical engineering, contour fashion and radiotherapy and oncology attracted single applicants, the most popular course, Geography, attracted 8. The top ten courses were:
