Rugby High School - Summer 2021 Issue 35

News from Mr Grady

Hello Everyone,

National writing day this year, will be on June 23rd.  Now, I know that you would expect me as head teacher of a school to promote and be an active supporter of all things literacy based, and I do.  Not just because it’s a statutory requirement, not just because it comprises part of the school inspection criteria, but because I believe deeply and passionately that reading, and the practice of writing for pleasure are two of the very best ways any person can continue to improve their literacy, and also, gain a huge amount of joy and learning in the process.

I wish you all the best of luck with your own versions!

With very best wishes, stay well and safe everyone,
Mr Grady

Rapid Flow Tests

Please do ensure that where you are happy to do so, your child continues to perform their lateral flow tests twice weekly, and also reports the results – we have noticed that less tests appear to have been taken recently, and with the increase in cases locally and extension of restrictions it is vital that we use this process to continue to ensure that students who may be infectious do not attend school.

Once again many thanks for your continued support in this, for the health of the RHS community.
