Sixth Form Snapshots - written by our students.1st Edition

Joining Rugby High in Year 12
As someone who joined Rugby High in Year 12, I know how welcoming it is. All the students and all the staff were very kind, helping me to get around the school and adjust to the new settings very quickly. They understand that the shift from GCSE’s to A Levels is a big transition and they go out of their way to make sure you get used to your new surroundings and subjects.   I'm glad I came here - I've had such a good year!

Photography Club
This club is a brilliant way to refine your photography skills and help out in the school community. It is a great way of turning your hobby into a merited accomplishment which looks good on CVs and university applications. The pictures you take in Photography Club will be used widely on the school website, Facebook Page and other Rugby High marketing materials. You learn a range of new skills such as photoshop and lighting and are allowed to experiment and have fun with other photography enthusiasts.

Learning Mentor

Rugby High will always do its’ best to support you throughout your academic journey and help you to unlock your full potential. One way in which you can develop your skills and work on your exam technique, or go over any topics that you are confused about, is by having mentoring sessions with Mr. Nichols, also known as Max. You can meet with him whenever suits you in your study periods, and once you let him know what you need some extra help in, he will prepare resources and practice questions that he will go through with you. Students who have been helped by him in the past have said that he is an easy person to talk to and helps you to keep on top of your work.
