LEADERSHIP AT RH6 RUGBY HIGH SCHOOL SIXTH FORM Senior Student Leadership Team (SSLT) Daniela Olanrewaju - Head Girl Being Head Girl at Rugby High school was so much more than a title for me. I’ve always loved people and bringing new and different changes wherever I go; being able to mix those two things together in one role was something I couldn’t say no to! Daniela Olanrewaju - Head Girl Being part of SSLT has really allowed me to develop my communication skills in a wider range of environments, making me better at working within a team. Joining Rugby High School was a seamless transition as the teachers and the RH6 team are incredibly welcoming. Since joining, I have noticed that the sixth form focuses on building a close-knit community between students and staff which really adds to the sense of belonging. I’ve also noticed that every student is treated as a young adult, respected for their passion for their chosen subjects, with teachers that are always ready to offer support and guidance whenever needed. OUR ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME At Rugby High School we believe that school life is about so much more than work and exams. The enrichment curriculum offers a wide range of clubs and opportunities, so that you have the chance to meet new people, broaden your horizons and gain a balance that is so important for wellbeing. Whether it’s attending creative writing club, Med Soc or Running Club on a regular basis, or taking up Silver and Gold DofE or Crest Awards, we want you to get involved and to take on new responsibilities. At the heart of the RHS community, we pride ourselves on celebrating diversity and individuality. RH6 is a truly welcoming environment where we value all our students: life in RH6 will surpass your expectations! RUGBY HIGH SCHOOL SIXTH FORM At RHS there are a plethora of extracurricular and super-curricular opportunities available ranging from various competitions like Olympiads and the Gold Crest Award to Debate Club and BioMed Soc. These opportunities allow students to fully engulf themselves within the curriculum and their subjects of interest allowing us to develop our knowledge and interact with like-minded Individuals. Alongside this, the school organises various trips in cohesion with the school curriculum from university and theatre visits to residential trips within the UK and abroad. Khadijah - Member of the SSLT

EPQ RUGBY HIGH SCHOOL SIXTH FORM EPQ aims to inspire, enthuse, motivate and to allow you to develop or extend a variety of skills through the completion of a free choice project. This project allows you to pursue a theme/topic based either on a subject you are already studying, in an area of particular personal interest or provides the opportunity to complete something entirely new. You are given responsibility for managing all stages of your project in a specified time period. It will develop your skills and you are able to research a topic that you’re passionate about. Suchit Gurun For my EPQ I investigated micro plastic pollution within our oceans. The support I got was excellent with Miss Holland being just an email away, ready to answer any questions. Cristian Covaliuc I would fully recommend an EPQ, as you get the chance to research something really topical and develop your study skills – and you might even get reduced university grade offers! Rebecca Williams It’s all about flourishing and being good at what you want to be good at.

OUR PASTORAL SUPPORT Having been to Rugby High makes you stand out on a uni or job application because of all the opportunities, trips and talks it offers you. We want your time at Rugby High School Sixth Form to be fulfilling, exciting and fun. We want you to excel in your chosen subjects and to develop a range of skills that will help prepare you for the next stage in life. So many students come back to Rugby High School and tell us their stories and how the success all started here. Here are some testimonials from former students and parents. I’m aiming to study Dentistry at university because I enjoy the mix of problem-solving, and working with people. Rugby High has helped me explore this path through opportunities like the Med Soc and EPQ, which gave me insight into real-world healthcare and teamwork. The support from SLT and my teachers has made the application process feel clear and manageable, and I feel well-prepared to take the next step. Jerusha Kuriakose - Member of the SSLT OUR LEGACY Your future self RUGBY HIGH SCHOOL SIXTH FORM Rugby High also helped me to become more confident in myself and my abilities. As a teenager I often doubted myself and didn’t believe I was any good at anything but Rugby High helped me to see my own potential. Amy Clement - Assistant Stage Manager, The Lion King I don’t think I realised this at the time, but Rugby High gifted me with the mindset of ‘I can do anything I set my mind to’ - something I am eternally grateful for. Rugby High also provided me with my all time best friends, who I know I will have in my life forever. Becky Morley - Strategy Manager, Ocado

Both my children have been so happy at Rugby High School. It’s a special place where not just strong academic achievement but a love of learning is fostered. RHS helped both my children to become confident young adults well prepared for life after school. The thing I liked about RHS was there didn’t seem much pressure to conform; difference and individuality was OK and not something to be ashamed of, but other things were valued and fostered too, like kindness and friendship. Yes – I’m an unashamed fan! Emma Tiller – Parent RUGBY HIGH SCHOOL SIXTH FORM Evelyn Bastable - Member of the SSLT As well as striving for academic excellence, Rugby High has a community which emphasises kindness, care and respect. It shapes individuals to not only be resilient but to also be loving and kind. I will be forever grateful for the school’s values that have prepared me to face the world with courage and compassion.
