Rugby High school is a highly achieving girls Grammar school with a co-educational sixth form. 

Rugby High School is a successful, calm, respectful and welcoming school, it is a delightful environment in which to work. We currently have 934 students on roll who are all motivated, well-behaved and value their education.

Rugby High School is an 11-18 girls’ grammar school, which accepts boys into our popular Sixth Form. We offer a full induction program for all staff (including ECTs), extensive professional development opportunities and a rich menu of extra-curricular activities. Teacher of Mathematics

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for a qualified teacher able to teach Mathematics to students in Years 7-11 (the ability to teach A level Mathematics, would be an advantage but is not essential).

Rugby High School is a girls’ grammar school that is graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted. All of our students are expected to pass GCSE Mathematics at the end of KS4 with well over 50% achieving grades 8/9 and 98% achieving 6+. In 2024, we achieved a progress 8 score of 0.66.  A large number of students choose to continue to study Mathematics to A Level; we currently have over 150. Over 50% of our students gain places at Russell Group Universities.

Cover Supervisor

 £13.74 per hour
Responsible to: Cover Manager/Business Manager
Start Date 1st June 2025 (or as soon as possible after)

Note: This is a broad description of the types of duties/activities expected at this level, for illustrative purposes. This is not intended to provide an exhaustive list of duties. Please read the Job Description linked at the bottom of this page. 

  • Supervising a whole class to undertake set work/activities and can include introducing and closing the class.
  • Maintaining good order and managing behaviour constructively.
  • Promotion of self-control and independence.
  • Keep pupils on task as necessary.
  • Responding appropriately to questions raised by pupils.
  • Collecting any completed work and returning it to the appropriate teacher.
  • Dealing with immediate problems and emergencies in accordance with the school’s policies.
  • Reporting back on behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.
  • Supporting the general administration and/or Front of House teams when not actively covering pupils’ lessons.

Qualifications, training and likely abilities 

  • No formal qualifications required, though literacy and numeracy skills required to be able to read instructions and work out simple measurements.
  • We are looking to appoint somebody who has ideally worked in a Secondary school.
  • Can understand and operate within regulations
  • Can exchange straightforward information with colleagues and users
  • Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
  • Value and respect the views and needs of children

Cleaner

Zero hours casual contract. TTO plus 5 week (39 weeks). NJC Scale 2.   £11.59 per hour. 

Responsible to: Site Manager

To clean specified areas within the school in accordance with the school’s/authority’s standards. Your work will be undertaken under the guidance of the caretaker / cleaning supervisor. You will also contribute to the school’s statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
